Faith leadership is privileged,

journeying with a community

or an individual.

Highs and lows,

joy and grief,

the stuff of life.

So as we marked

Ash Wednesday

I distributed ashes

reminding people to

‘be faithful to the Gospel’.

The silent and solemn column

of face after face

providing a window into faith

that left me

humbled

and happy.

And given a glimpse of

‘it is in giving that we receive’.
